Court 144 was founded by Freddy Gross, an Ohio native and PPR Certified Instructor and Coach. The brand’s name is a clever nod to Freddy’s last name, as there are 144 units in a “gross”. Freddy teaches pickleball clinics and private lessons on his own backyard court, fittingly called Court 144.
The Court 144 brand got its start when Freddy and his doubles partner started playing in tournaments. Freddy’s partner took a couple of athletic shirts and had “Court 144” embroidered onto them for the two to wear during tournament play. The shirts immediately caught attention as fellow players, spectators and even tournament promoters started asking about the brand. Realizing he was onto something special, Freddy created the Court 144 logo featuring his silhouette and began selling shirts. Since then, the logo has been spotted in multiple states and across several sports.
Court 144 apparel is designed for performance and comfort. Each shirt is made from a high-quality, breathable material and embroidered with the Court 144 logo. Both long-sleeve and short-sleeve styles are available in a range of colors and unisex sizes (S–XL). In addition to shirts, the line also includes tank tops, hats, and sweatbands — all made to bring the Court 144 spirit to wherever you play.
